Alloa Makers Village

June/JulyThe Mulraney group are pleased with the purchase and development of the Alloa Makers village and with already over 70% occupancy and completion due in December 2010, The makers Village looks set to be a success.

The Makers Village is proving to be a centre for creativity in Clackmannanshire with the current tenants being;

Newfangled Glass where Jill Conlan designs and manufactures stained and fused glass for domestic and commercial appliances.

Elin Isaksson Glass creates unique handcrafted sculptural, lighting and architectural glass for individual and corporate clients

Alloa Clay station which is a ceramic and pottery workshop with studio space kilns and offers night classes to the public.

Start of a new season

June/JulyAllan Maitland has brought in seven summer signings including Darren Smith – named as the best part time player in the country. Joining the midfielder are Michael Dunlop, Jim Lister, Kevin McDonald and two goalkeepers, Stephen Robertson and Jamie Ewing.

Pre season kicked off with a 1-0 victory against Albion Rovers at home with Bryan Prunty scoring early in the second half. The mighty Wasps travelled to Oban for the 2010 Keyline cup where results where disappointing but the boys have lifted their spirits and come together as a team and have recently had a 4-1 victory against Boness, a 2 – 0 victory against Sauchie Juniors and a 3-1 victory over Arthurlie.

Alloa drew Dundee in the Alba cup and lost a last minute goal at Dens Park which saw Dundee continue onto the second round.

Despite this everyone is very excited for the season ahead and everyone within the Mulraney Group would like to wish Alloa Athletic all the best for the 2010/2011 season!

 

Wasp Leisure

Studio Two

June/JulyWasp Leisure has seen the opening of its new air conditioned “Studio 2” inside the Leisure Bowl this month.

Full equipped with 19 Aerobikes “Studio 2” can now increase the number of spin classes taking place and can cater for the popular Blocks of Yoga classes.
Timetable:

Monday: Mixed level spin 8pm – 8.45pm, Beginners spin 7pm – 7.45pm
Tuesday: 6pm – 6.45pm Beginners spin, 7pm – 7.45pm Mixed level spin
Wednesday: 6pm – 6.45pm and 7 – 7.45 Both Yoga
Thursday: 6pm – 6.45pm Mixed level spin, 7pm – 7.30pm Beginners spin
Friday 6.30pm – 7.15pm Biking together
Saturday: 10am – 10.45am Mixed level cycling

Indoor cycling is a cardiovascular class involving cycling on special exercise bikes. This is an intensive, all round exercise good for burning fat and giving definition of the thighs, hamstrings and buttocks. Class levels do vary however a great workout can still be gained from any of our classes regardless of fitness level or ability.

Biking together get fit together, any age can sit on a bike and pedal so teens 12 – 15 come with a group of friends or bring along your parents to this fun workout to the latest chart hit music. (For safety reasons children must be of sufficient height to use these bikes)

Yoga gains a physical and mental workout for improved health. Benefits include; improved posture and flexibility, strengthening of joints and muscles, increased circulation and release of toxins relaxing, energising and revitalizing.
